Hi Reader,
This has been the week of our clutter becoming someone else's treasure. I've been quietly filling bins for weeks β things to sell, things to give away, things I finally admitted I didn't need.
This week I sold a two-piece shelf set I'd decluttered without a second thought, and somehow that set my husband off. He disappeared into the shop, dragged out a pile of his own things, and sold every last piece the same day.
I think he might be competing with me. I think he might be winning. π Either way, we're both saying the same thing now: we need more shop stuff to sell so we can keep this fun-money train going. Ha!
In between all the decluttering, decision making, and communicating with people on Facebook Marketplace, I've fallen straight back into a reading frenzy β partly because our new book club opens its doors August 1st (more on that below), and partly because I just can't help myself.
This month was release day for the latest in one of my favorite series β Dead Men Don't Play Fetch (aff link), #33 in David Rosenfelt's Andy Carpenter series. I have these on pre-order and mark the release date on my calendar every single time β that's how much I love this series.
I also devoured I'm Not the Only Murderer in My Retirement Home by Fergus Craig (aff link), which is exactly as delightfully odd as it sounds: a humorous fictional look at what happens when a 70-something serial killer moves into a retirement community. I never thought about murderers aging, but I suppose everyone does.
I love a good mystery, and I'm always hungry for the next one β so hit reply and tell me your favorite. I'm building my library "shopping" list and I'd love for it to be full of your recommendations.
