Hi Reader,
Honest question for a rainy Tuesday: do you ever feel like the way you "do" home looks completely different from the way your mom did it, or your sister does it, or that woman on Instagram does it — and you've quietly wondered if you're doing it wrong?
(Spoiler: you're not. Promise.)
I've been working on something for you these past couple weeks that I'm so excited to share on Friday. It came straight out of a question I get all the time: "How do I figure out what kind of homemaker I actually am?"
Because here's the thing — once you know your type, everything starts to make sense.
→ The way you organize.
→ The way you decorate (or don't).
→ What energizes you.
→ What drains you.
→ Why some homemaking advice feels like a perfect fit and other advice makes you want to throw your phone across the room. 😅
More on that in a few days. But because I can't help myself, I'm giving you a head start. ☕
The 4 Homemaking Personalities (a little preview)
After years on interacting with other homemakers, I've noticed most of us lean strongly toward one of four personalities — the natural way you bring warmth and order into your home without even thinking about it:
🪺 The Nester — You create beauty, intentionality, and atmosphere. You light the candles, change the seasonal décor, fluff the pillows just so. People walk into your home and exhale.
🌿 The Minimalist — You create clarity, simplicity, and peace. Clear surfaces. Intentional choices. Nothing extra. Your home is where the mind actually rests.
🍵 The Comfort Creator — You create warmth, welcome, and real comfort. Baking bread, brewing coffee, gathering people around the table. Your home is gloriously, beautifully lived in.
📋 The Practical Manager — You create order, systems, and smooth-running households. Cleaning schedules, meal plans, batch tasks. You're the quiet infrastructure that lets everyone else thrive.
Most of us are a blend — but one usually leads. And knowing which one leads changes everything about how you spend your time, your energy, and even your money at home.
(Friday's quiz goes way deeper — we're talking your superpowers, your blind spots, and what your personality specifically needs from you this season. 😊)
Quick favor before you go...
POLL: Which personality feels most like you right now?
Your answer genuinely helps me fine — tune what I'm sending Friday. 💛
This week on the blog
While you're sipping that second cup of coffee...
If you're a Practical Manager, the end-of-school-year checklist for moms is going to make you feel deeply seen — it's the one I wish someone had handed me back when my brain was foggy with field-day forms and teacher gifts. And the slow morning routine for stay-at-home moms is a beautiful example of a system that serves you instead of running you ragged.
If you're a Comfort Creator, Memorial Day weekend is calling your name and I made sure you're stocked. A creamy hot baked crab dip (the kind that disappears in ten minutes flat), a nostalgic vintage broccoli cauliflower salad, the old-fashioned calico salad that tastes like a church potluck in the best way, a bright Asian sesame chicken salad for warmer days, and the peaches and cream cake you simply have to bake this week. Trust me.
And if you're a Nester or a Minimalist — friend, I see you. This week's posts lean toward the other two, but I've got beautiful things specifically for you coming with Friday's quiz. Promise. 🌿🪺
See you Friday!
Cozy hugs with some kitty hairs left on your shirt,
