This one's short, because it's Sunday.

Of all the rooms, the two I think about most are Abide and The Homemaker's Heart. They're the ones that don't produce anything. No meal plan, no cleaning list, nothing you can check off. They're there because homemaking isn't only logistics. Some weeks the hard part is doing the laundry again while wondering whether any of it matters. Nobody hands you encouragement for that. You mostly have to go find it.

So I've been writing something. It's called A Year of Grace, a daily devotional with one small thing for every day of the year, written for women doing this work. It lives in The Homemaker's Heart and goes up as I write it.
